CONDUCTORS

BUNCHED CONDUCTORS

Bunched Conductors consists of one or several multiwires. The multiwires are bunched to form a conductor. The individual wires have no defined position in the conductor.

Bunch stranded conductors are used for a wide range of cable applications with focus on low cost production.

CONCENTRIC STRANDED CONDUCTORS

Conductors with regular lay construction. Each individual wire has a defined position in the conductor. One or several lays of wires are concentrically placed over one central wire.

CONCENTRIC STRANDED CONDUCTORS ARE PARTED IN TWO TYPES

UNILAYTRUE CONCENTRIC
  • Unilay Concentric
  • Equilay Concentric
  • same lay direction of the layers
  • same lay length of the layers
  • round construction
  • smooth surface
  • alternating lay directions of the layers
  • same lay length of the layers
  • very round construction
  • smooth surface
  • Unidirectional Concentric
  • Conventional Concentric
  • same lay direction of the layers
  • different lay length of the layers
  • very round construction
  • smooth surface
  • alternating lay directions of the layers
  • different lay length of the layers
  • very round construction
  • smooth surface

SEMI-CONCENTRIC CONDUCTORS

Semi-concentric Conductors are not depending to the regular constructions of the Concentric Stranded Conductors but provides the same positive characteristics like roundness and smooth surface.

Concentric Stranded Conductors and Semi-concentric Conductors are suiting very well for cables with high value insulation materials due to roundness and smooth surface.

Another advantage of these constructions is a small diameter due to the compact construction by defined layings. In combination with thin insulation thickness cables can be designed with small over all diameter.
